I wish him the best, but this guy's a nut!

Wow and I thought I was crazy! :)

Well I wish him all the best... I hope he aims right or it will be a tragedy...

...these first worlders have got too much cash :D

The hardest thing is landing on the net from that height. Miss it and your dead. Hit it and hopefully it works.

please post link .. I was out so I missed the attempt

I did find this attempt...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbIivGvflkk

but I think it is fake...
1. he fell through a very small hole in a roof of a building...
2. into a trampoline that is way too small.. and he only bounced up to about 10 feet!!!
check the video at 3:30
3. all those people on the sideline.. close by to watch... that is a very dangerous place if something goes wrong!

How do you line up with the net at 25,000ft? You can't even see the thing.

no.. he can not see it..
and the wind would push him off the target.

I am guessing... been practicing for this for 2 yrs.
he knows the general area of the net.. by the landscape
using his body to manipulate the wind as it rushes by.. he can adjust his direction of fall.
this is a constant correction as it gets closer.

you did notice he was nowhere near the center of that net.
I am sure if it was a very windy day... it would have been postponed.

You missed the part where he has GPS audio in his headset, and it beeps when he gets "out of zone" Once he got down around 12,000 feet he could see the Red Lights indicating he is drifting "out of zone".

Same thing used for pilots at airports to let you know if you are too high, or too low on approach for landing.

I think it's a completely crazy thing to even attempt, and yes he was off centre. Could have been a total disaster. If that guy has kids, also irresponsible.

Hmmm...
