1. How to stop facebook and email sync

2. When at work have phone on silence/Vibrate but accept calls and texts from certain people

3. Turn mobile off at home and work when on WiFi

I am rooted if that helps at all!

TIA,

Raquel

1. Could you just not turn off sync completely or do you mean in specific circumstances?

2. This could be done per this walkthrough - Auto Sleep Mode (with exceptions) - Tasker Wiki - by using day and time as contexts (instead of plugged in and time) or you could even use a context of connected to your work WiFi network - can walk you through this if needed?

3. This is relatively straight forward - you need to choose "state", "net" and then "wifi connected" - you can then add your home/work SSID (if you want to restrict it to just those networks or leave blank for any time you're connected to wifi). As an action, select "net" and then "mobile data" - you can then set it to "off" :)

I could turn sync off completely but I was just thinking for just facebook and email.

Thanks for the 2 and 3 will try right now

I actually meant just for email and faceboook... do you not get the option to only turn off for them? (haven't turned it off myself) :o

No worries... lemme know if you need any more help :)

Another question,

I have my mobile turned off when I am at home and work and on wifi however I did an exit task to turn mobile back on when leaving work/home wifi but mobile will never turn on. I am rooted and have tried both turning on mobile regularly in tasker and by using Secured Setting and both ways mobile is not turning on automatically

You dont need to turn mobile data off when connected to wifi, android does this anyways. If you have tasker do this, then you wont be able to receive MMS, whereas the way android handles it you will still be able to receive MMS.

Does anyone actually use MMS anymore? :D

Great thank you!

For number two is there a way to get select SMS to work at well or does this just work for phone calls

I would have thought so... not really used Tasker that much though, so not au fait with variables, etc. I'm sure someone will be able to give you some help though :)
