Root I would love to go back to GB but..

I have wifi problems, first on. 596 it would connect but no internet, I had all the bars but no internet, so when I heard that. 602 was being released I decided to wait but it still didn't work,so I deleted my security from my wireless router(zyxel WEP) and left it open, but still nothing, so I went back to froyo, flashed cm7 loved it,but the battery kind of sucks, anybody here experience the same problems, or a solution, I could really use the help. Thanks

I am on GB .602 and was on .596 before and the only time I experienced any wifi not connecting issues was when I flashed Sensei v2. I thought it must be something in the rom. It would not connect at my house all. Then I did an sbf to stock GB .602 and still it would not connect. I had to go to my office for something and it connected fine. So, once I got back home I power cycled my Linksys wireless router and my X starting connecting again. I know that sound simple, but have you tried power cycling your router? I changed all kinds of settings in the router and never could get it to connect until after I did a power cycle.

Do you really need WEP? It's one of the poorest encryptions.

Maybe it's time for a new router? I have the Netgear N150 and it's real easy to setup. I gave up on the Cisco routers after trying Netgear.

I also thought that I might need a new router, but it's only on GB. on FROYO is fine. I was 2 days ago on froyo and i had internet, now im on GB and the first few hours it was working fine, i could go on the internet, watch live streams, then the next morning nothing, not even facebook.

I had a B&N Nook Color tablet. My old AT&T router worked fine on CM7, but if I flashed the stock (reader) 1.2 rom, it would crash my router and nothing could connect, even my laptop.

Have you considered checking for an firmware update?

yeah no more updates, maybe I do need a new one. this one is like four years old. oh well. Thanks everyone.

The Netgear 150 and it's bigger brother the 300 are very nice. A girl I work with wanted wireless for her laptop and bought the 150 on my recommendation and had no trouble getting it running.
