I have a samsung galaxy prevail and i bought a new 16 gig sd card, but when i try to take photos it still says there is not enough space(38 mb) in your device memory. Delete some files. Any advice?

Check your picture app settings and see if there is an option to store pics/vids on external storage (the SD card). I don't have the Prevail so I can't give exact instructions.
I would recommend freeing up some of your internal storage though, 38MB is not very much
