Finally got it to work !! Follow the guides they have at XDA except when using QPST dont read from phone just open service programming and change the settings under PPP, MIP, etc.. Then just write to phone without reading it first. All other parameters can be left blank. This will not harm your phone.
Couple side notes .. I fought with this phone for a few days. And i can say there are a couple different ways that i think is sure fire but we all know how that goes.
1. Im using stock rom (verizon or us cellular is what i messed with because custom rom usb settings are stripped)
2. PRL - you may have to try a couple different ones ( i used cricket prl 35713). I pulled one off my other samsung vitality and it did not work for my phone. Even though its an actual cricket and a samsung for that matter)
3. If going into qpst and writing like i suggested doesnt work use cdma workshop. I also tried an alternate version to get it to work and it did. Send your spc to unlock phone. From here you can write your prl and then write the WhiteRabbit file to NV. Notice your phone doesnt re-boot after writes with cdma workshop <--- very important to know that
.. After you write those disconnect from cdma and open qpst and write the correct settings to phone.
Upon re-boot you should have 3g data, mms, etc....
I did not write a complete guide for a reason. I dont have time to come back and answer a billion questions. If you dont know what qpst or how to get your phone to connect i suggest you google and learn the hard way like i did. You will pick up allot of info on the way.
I also noticed that in the XDA guide (hint hint) that its suggested to check the 1x EVDO box .. I dont suggest this personally but you can try it on your own as phones do act different. I noticed that (duhhh) my phone stayed in 1x mode and no 3g icon comes up when i check that.
another hint is youtube. plenty of walkthrough guides to show you about qpst. Just dont read from phone EVER or your settings will revert .
