I5700 won't load!!!!! - help please

Hi anyone/every one????
I am having problems with my Galaxy GT I5700. The phone turns on and I can hear the start up tune but then the phone goes blank. The screen is darkly lit but shows nothing, I can get to it start up......

I can ring and answer the phone which is odd, and I think I've received texts but can see anything on the screen

I phoned Samsung who said I should install Kies to fix the problem which I have done but I can not get Kies to recognise the phone. I get an error message stating
Correct device in Samsung Kies (PC Studio) mode. Current connection not supported in Kies......

Anyone help................

Yeah, Kies is pretty much useless. The problem is a major bug, where the phone has started up , but is not displaying anything. Get it to a repair center. No other way... They will flash a new firmware and give it
