My Samsung galaxy s3i900 was charging and turned off, and on restarting, it would only go onto the start screen (galaxxy s3 writing) and then turn off again.
I tried flashing it using kies, but it failed, and now the phone says 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.'
I've tried using emergency firmware recovery, but dont have a recovery code, and the phone doesnt appear.
when I retry upgrade and initilisation, I get to the screen with the terms, and after ticking all boxes, I can't go further, the upgrade button is greyed out.
I've also tried using odin (with kies closed fully), but the phone doesn't appear. I dont have the original cable, but ive tried 2 different cables on 2 laptops using different OS(vista and 8) and tried all usb ports (no hubs) but still no luck.
I can only get onto the screen with firmware upgrade encountered ... , and the download screen.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.
