Any truth to the rumor that if you have Gingerbread running on your phone you can install Ice Cream Sandwich? Will it be sloooow on this phone? Will SE be providing this update?

Last update for the X10 is 2.3.3 and there are no plans to release any further updates for it past 2.3.3. That being said I'd say is not possible to install Ice Cream Sandwich on the phone even if you have Gingerbread. Only option for this would be rooting the phone and installing a custom rom.

Custom ROM will be your only option, but so far no one has any idea about performance on the X10.
