Root IColdS 8.6 No deep sleep

Just left it on whilst charging ,screen off.CPU stats show none of the four hours was spent in deep sleep.

How would I rectify this ? I have changed the governor to smart ass...
 
Stumped. The button should always work. Could you check most likely you have a lit but all black display. In a dark place you should notice a glimmer. Not that I have a fix. More info for the next poster.

Some widgets/app do not put ICS (even the official one) to sleep. But those like Screen Off and Lock, with an option to delay device locking do.

... Or maybe I will just flash it and see if I have the same issue.
 
Okay. Installed ICS 8.6.1. Mine goes to sleep. At least that is what the battery monitor is telling me. I only have it running for a few minutes so far.

What Kernel, if any, did you flash over ICS 8.6?

In ROM Controls, there is a "Wait to lock screen" option. Maybe you could try to enable that.
