Help icon changed?

First time posting here,

I'm using a galaxy S6 from Bell (Canada), and I noticed my internet icon (bottom left) changed to the 5.1.1 look (the same look seen on the note 5). Only problem is I'm running 5.0.2 and I'm wondering:

1. Will the rest of my icons change to the new look whenever I receive the 5.1.1 update?

2. Anyone know why it changed look?

Because right now it looks put of place with the rest of my icons.

Just wondering

Hello there!
Not sure but is it a stock app?
Have you rebooted since the update?

Edit: oops, perhaps I've misunderstood your issue....you did, or did not update?

That's why I'm confused, I haven't received the update yet, so I'm still on 5.0.2. And yea it's the stock internet icon.

But this is just a browser app. Have you received an update for that (e.g. through the Play Store)? If so that could update the icon without there being a system update. If you allow automatic updates of apps (something I never do) you might not even have noticed it happen. If this is the case though you should see "uninstall updates" as an option in Settings > Applications for this app.

"Internet" is the stock Samsung web browser, it's likely been updated directly by Samsung. They do push their own updates for their S-apps, independently of the actual firmware, Google or your carrier. If you go into apps > all, you should be able to uninstall the stock Samsung browser updates from there.
