Unfortunately I can't really see what's going on in the profile pic. If you look at the bottom of the reply box there is text that says upload a file. You should be able to use that and browse your device for a screenshot.

Hmm, it's a bit blurry. Trying to decipher the icon. Looks like a disc with an arrow sticking out? And it says start? I have not seen anything like that. What makes you sure it's downloading your calls, texts, etc?

What device are you using? I ask because maybe it's something that's actually a normal function for that device? Or did it just start happening when you got your phone back?

Also asking because if your ex actually installed some sort of spyware on your device, which is highly possible if he had the device for a couple days, then there's probably only one sure way to get rid of it. And that would be to flash the stock firmware to the device. Because if he did something at the system level, a normal factory reset will not undo those changes.

So if you do need to flash the stock firmware, hopefully you have a pretty common device that's easy to find firmware for and also easy to flash.

Also, out of curiosity, was your device secured? Or did he gave full access to it?

Hi thanks for speedy response......he had full access as he knew my pin. I split with him over a year ago but stupidly ended up going to his one weekend and spent 2 weeks getting hammered (like an idiot). I left his house and he'd stolen my phone out my pocket and then coundn't get hold of him for 2 days to get it back.
I also have had to have my locks changed at home and cctv installed as me neighbours have reported noise and voices coming from my bungalow when ive not been there which is quite worrying. Anyway i've got a new phone now . im aware of software like keylogger etc so lets just say he has had access to my laptop it is possible also that my laptop has been compromised. I have changed settings for remote desktop etc but am i right in saying i need to completely wipe the laptop in order to be 100%. Thanks xx

I mean, do you have any reason to suspect that your PC is compromised? Surely you could run a malware scan and see if you get any hits?

I would format as a last result if an anti-malware program doesn't find anything and you're still suspicious.
