Help Icon problem

Hi,

Had my S3 for about a month. All been going well... except have an icon in the top bar which I cant find identified anywhere or remove.

Its an 'i' within a circle with a line through it....i.e the i is switched off.

Its not mentioned anywhere in the manual. Does anyone know how I can fix it or what it means? I think it is a notification problem as not been getting any summary icons on the bar but thats just a guess.

Thanks

Posting a screenshot might help. You can either hold down both power and home buttons for approx 2 seconds, or swipe the side of your palm across the screen ( if the motion hasn't been disabled. )

I don't know it off hand, so trying to poke around and see what I can find.

Is it on the left or right side? Also, is there absolutely nothing listed in the notifications?

EDIT: Also, which version exactly do you have? Carrier, international, etc. Rooted? Anything else you can think of that would differentiate your phone.

You've turned notifications off. Pull down the notification bar and make sure "notification is lit up" by tapping it, then the "I" icon will go away and your other notifications will show up again.

That old chestnut :)
