It's not casting anything. Even if it did it would only cast to your WiFi network.
But it only casts with a Chromecast or any streaming device.

That probably means that there is a nearby device that your phoen is detecting with Android's Nearby API that will allow casting, so should you go into YouTube or a castable app, you could cast content.

Give it a try and see if you're able to cast something?!
