Help ICS 4.0.4 Update Problems (Australia)

Newbie here

Last week I updated my unbranded GT-19100 via Kies to 4.0.4

It's horrible! It looks like a few steps back (phone lock screen with pattern to unlock looks ugly). As do all the icons from the 'menu' button.

But aside from that, I am no longer able to take a screenshot using the vol/power buttons.

Is there any way to 'roll back' to my previous version, or am I now stuck with this until Jellybean gets rolled out?

I don't have it rooted, and am too technically inept to dare :smokingsomb:

I hope someone can help me out!

Ok, so I've done some digging and I'm not the only one unhappy with this 'up'grade


Looks like I'm stuck with it though for at least a few months

*Found that screenshot is now power/home button press - which is no way near as convenient as power/voldown!

yes 4.0.4 is absolutely horrible i agree
unlocked unrooted s2 here wishing to roll back to 4.0.3
ever since the upgrade default email app stopped working. default browser stopped working etc
