ICS and Good for Enterprise?

ssstw1

Lurker
I am required to use the Good for Enterprise client for corp email, which I have running on my Droid 2 Global. Looking to upgrade to the RAZR MAXX with 4.0 ICS. Question is, does anyone know if Good for Enterprise will work on that? It is not explicitly listed on the good.com site, but the device itself is listed... not sure they support 4.0 yet or not. Anyone try it?

Not really. The only complaint I have is I wish that when I close it down it would stop putting notifications in my notification bar. The only way to get it to stop doing that is to go into settings and change it to "offline" mode. Problem with that is if you leave it offline for a few days it takes a bit of time to catch itself up again. Still, it's better than carrying 2 devices.

Oh, and my IT department checks for jailbreak and will dump me off if it detects it. Thankfully Android has come far enough now I don't feel the itch to jailbreak but 2 years ago I can't say the same and it was frustrating.

Hello,

I am lookin for information about what functionnalities work on Good if u have no connectivity at all? Does the authentication procedure to access the app require an internet connection? Or u can access ur mail, calendar etc and check the last synchronised data?

Thank u,

You can access the last synchronized data. As far as the authentication procedure if you are talking about first time set up, that requires a data connection. If you are talking about putting your password in that works without a connection.
By the way, I found this out by putting the phone in airplane mode and then trying it. That will tell you if you need data or cell service for a function.
Cheers
Tony
