Root ICS and Video File Formats

Since I've downloaded ICS, I've been having trouble playing file formats, notably WMV and AVI, they play, but are REALLY choppy. They played without a hitch prior to.

I've tried:

MX Player
Easy Video Player
Modo Video Player
V Player

Any ideas? This is making me think I'm going to have to go back to stock and get the official ICS update when it's out as I'm pretty sure I'll be able to play the formats with that.

I had the same issue when I installed AOKP. To be honest, MX Player Pro (after downloading the codec ARMv7 as well) is your best bet. Things were choppy/lagging when I first started using it as well, but after the videos cached to the phone, things ran smoother. If the player still doesn't work after a few attempts, you can try this beta VLC Player. Just make sure you download the correct apk for our phone (the A9 one).

VLC Player Beta

I figured I would post for anyone that ends up with the same issue. The problem ended up being that my videos were in 720p, I made duplicates in 480p (homemade videos) and they played fine.

However the real solution ended up being the stock ICS video player from the SGS3 that's available in the Team Nocturnal ICS Rom, 720P videos play just fine on that as well.
