ICS battery drain, solved?

So this is my first post. Last night I decided to do a factory reset on my Epic 4g Touch, and leave it as is; no apps from the store, and just leave it unplugged overnight.
Beforehand I was losing around6-8% every hour on idle, and once I woke up, i was surprised to see i only lost 1%. Now, I remembered what apps I had on there, and remembered that I only had 2 apps, for I had done another reset with no results. What were the apps? Lookout security app, and advanced task killer. I decided to go ahead and install lookout, and hello hello, back to the horrible battery drain. So if you guys haven't tried this, you should do a factory reset and do not install lookout. :P
Yeah just had to share what I found. :)

That's about right, when I had my Iphone 4, I never lost much battery life overnight because IOS is not multitasking so there really isn't any apps running, they are more in "suspended" mode. With Android phones its dif, they are actually running in the background until you task them out, even some utilities you cannot task out by using the native task manager, you have to do a force stop.

Sorry, I'm ranting, when you have apps/utils running in the background, it's inevitable it's going to drain battery life, best way to save some battery life is to kill things like email synching, wifi, gps with a profile app, this helps a lot, really do you need all that running overnight when you're sleeping? unless you are on call 24/7 then yah. Some profile apps have scheduling which means you can set that profile to active and deactivate so you don't need to remember to turn your wifi, email sync etc on when you wake in the morning.
