ICS Developement Map for Motorola

Not sure if anyone has seen this but I have Motorola on Facebook and they linked this on their Facebook.

Motorola Android Software Upgrade News | Motorola Owners' Forum | Motorola Mobility Inc.

Now...if I follow this map they have...it doesn't seem like we will get ICS til Q4 of this year or it'll be some time next year. So...looks like we're playing the waiting game again...Guess I will have to jump on the ICS Rom bus sometime soon...

My guess is that Motorola considers Verizon's approval process to be too unpredictable to promise a date. If I were a betting man I'd say no earlier than Q3, though.

I have been very patient with VZW & Moto so far, but in light of the lack of any real progress with the Bionic and combined with this great news, I don't think I'll be looking at MOTO for my 4 other upgrades this year. I really want to like the Bionic, but VZW & MOTO have made this just an above average 3G smartphone, far from what we waited an extra 9 months for & what was promised. I went to the VZW store last week & they don't even mention the Bionic.... it was the RAZR MAX, Rezound & the Iphone... Sorry, but I just needed to vent.

Are you running 5.9.902? Do you still have problems? A large number of people are reporting that problems that had been nagging them for months are now gone.

4G is not in Keene yet. 4G is in Manchester. (Apparently ... like the pilgrims ... Verizon has to start at the Atlantic Ocean and work its way west.)

Why is everyone so crazy over getting ICS. Since 902 i now get 4g strong at work and no more data drops. Besides..what if you dl it and it lags like a droid x2?

If motorola would only release 2 flagship phones a year we wouldnt have this problem. Bionic is on the back burner now that the razr series is out.

Considering that the RAZR is in the same boat, I find that statement hard to swallow.

I think the holdup is Verizon.
The signs are all there.
The Droid branded versions of things (Verizon) are all "Further details to follow".
Their Motorola branded counterparts mostly show scheduled for release 2Q or 3Q 2012.

Yes I am... as I described in another thread, this was a two fold issue one I had a run away process draining my battery (Mobile lookout backup) & the 4G trials & tribulations of my area. This comnined with my workplace having very little signal.... I upgraded my battery, scheduled the backup for 4 AM and am getting better signal when I am not in the office. Thanks for you help.

The advantage we have is Moto is finally making uniform ROMs. The MAXX rom will work on the Bionic. This will simplify things for them and us. Now if only they would unlock the bootloader as they promised, recovering from failed loads would be so much easier.

Samsung is a dream for recovery.
