Help ICS Device setup not working

Today I went to check for updates as I have been hearing that a lot of Razr users have been getting JB updates and I found out that something happened with my motorola account on my device..

When I click on system updates in about phone, the message :

Motorola Account Required
"System Updates" is not available without a Motorola service account.
Would you like to set up an account now?

when I click setup, it just sits there and says communicating with server please wait, and the longest I waited was 10 minutes..

anyone know of what I can do?
