Help ICS editing contact problems

Ive just upgraded to the new software ICS and it all looks pretty apart from one problem. I cant edit my contacts.... Even when I press edit contact, it says that the app can not edit.
Any solutions that anyone knows of ?

You have to go to the people icon not the phone icon to edit at least on my ICS I do and it gives edit option on menu press.
 
Ive tried that, it even gives the option for Editing but wont edit. Then when I try to delete it and re-enter it tells me that I cant delete 'Read-Only' contacts, it can only hide them....
 
It seems to be the numbers that I transferred over from my old phone on the sim card, I only got the phone a couple of days ago and had no problems. I added a number this morning before the upgrade which is editable, anything on the sim isnt....
 
Nope. Sim contacts are read only, I would transfer them all to your phone if you can. Or if they are backed up with Google, just get rid of the contacts on the sim and sync with Google
 
Heck I don't even think you can save contacts to the sim on this phone. The sim is only for the 4g. I would just go with the Google route that way you always have your contacts no matter whag
 
I think youre right, Ive noticed that above all of the ones that I cant edit it says 'Motorola services contact' It doesnt have any of my email accounts...
