Ok, now this is weird.
Did a reset, figured I'd get a nice clean update.
Now when I check for update, says no update available.
Any ideas?
 
I noticed that it was up at the Samsung Firmware site - this is the FIRST US region drop I have seen for the galaxy tab from any of the variants. I know there isnt one yet for my P6210, nor for the 7.7 tab. You guys are lucky :)
 
Is the US version any different then the UK version? I flashed the UK version of ICS 4.0.4 and it works great, dont really see need to change..
 
Still showing not available.
Checked my wife's tab, same.
Maybe Samsung is staggering to keep the server from getting overloaded?
 
I just received my update 16GB wifi tablet,I guess they are going by regions. I am currently in the SE. Wanted to ask if Google had a ICS keyboard available? Right now only showing Swype and the Samsung keyboard available
 
Do i have to be unrooted to get the OTA. Im trying to use kies but it keeps saying that it wont connect. D/l new drivers and everything? any suggestions?
 
Hi again all.
Tried Kies in the past but could never connect.
Read on another sie that doing a reset solved that problem.
I did a reset in anticipation of the update (thought it might give me a nice clean update),
so Itried Kies again.
Sure enough, my tab connected, did the update, and so far all is well.
The issues I had with the flashed version seem to be gone.
So if you haven't gotten the update, try Kies.
Also, after doing the reset, I did NOT update anything or reinstall any of my apps.
Did that after the update to ICS.
 
What is the build number? I just installed the UK version yesterday (IMM76D.XXLPH) - what is the version of the US build?

I wonder if there is enough difference that I should go back to HC and wait for the US version...?

Is there anywhere to download it manually?

I went back to HC after flashing the UK version.
So far the differences I see are.....
In the UK version, no Words For Free (ok by me, never used it).
Polaris Office in UK vesion, Quick Office in the US version (again, ok by me).
May be some others I don't remember.
Only way to d/l manually I know of is with Kies.
