Root ICS/JB LG UI 3.0 Launcher

Oh, the irony: So eager to move away from stock...only to return to it haha! Actually, I was hankering for being able to use this too. :p

It's not that good tbh. But no stock launcher is. It wouldn't be that bad if you could change the app drawer background. But even still stock launchers just lack so many basic features. I think it is because they want to keep things simple for the average user but I like options and this doesn't have them. What you got is what you got.

Also the icons in the app drawer don't fit the screen properly

You can.

So i cant flash this over the cm10 rom I have? What does it mean push it... Would this allow us to run two apps on the same screen as the spectrum 2 does? That is my goal is to make the spec one run two apps on the same screen... Am I in over my head?

Push it means to copy and paste the apk into system/app

You will need a root browser file explorer. I use solid explorer. Open solid explorer, and press back, you will get a pop up asking for root permission, say yes, then press back again, and you will now be in your internal drives root. Now scroll down to system, then you will see the app folder. All your system apps are in that folder, you want to just drop the lg launcher apk into that folder.

As far as running two apps, I think you mean pop up apps, and some of these are available in the app store, it's not a built in feature for our phone. Those things are more gimmicks on the newer phones to help sell them to the masses as something new and cool. Like I said, you can find apps in the play store that will run as a pop up but it's really not that great.

Well at least 30MB is wallpapers from adding it on homescreen to the apps background. The rest may be settings and others.
There's no excuse for 30MB of wallpaper, Especially when they can pull em from a server or compress them a bit.

And the code doesnt take up 25MB space. Its probably poorly optimized .9.png files

Ahh ok I thought it was weird but I believe ya, you know more :-D

Also I'm running it now on stock ics and it's running super smooth no lag.

Ugh... Nothing I do makes this thing install. I have it in system apps and the changes so it's rw-r--r-- and it won't work after reboot. It just resets the change to rw-rw-rw... I also pushed the weather widgets which both work fine... I don't get it. (it's the xhdpi one too)

Clear data on lg home and make sure the old lg home odex isn't in there

All stock launchers are junk compared to the third party ones in terms of features and smoothness. I just can't see any reason to run one
