Help ICS notification bar icons

in ICS the icons on the notification bar are bigger than in gingerbread. I think the size in gingerbread is perfect. in ICS they are too big. is there a way to change that size? Im on stock ICS btw

Edit: and also the icons are all in white now. for example. whatsapp icon used to be green which I thought its pretty cool and now its just white..
