Help ICS Problems (Data Connectivity / Text Messaging)

So I upgraded this morning and wish I hadn't. Before the upgrade I had full bars and 4G LTE connectivity. After the upgrade I have no data service indicator unless I have the wifi switch turned on. When wifi is enabled it displays the 3G icon only. What is going on?

Also, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set my picture for text messages. All of my sent texts display in the conversation window as a silhouette and when clicked says "Contact doesn't exist".

Can anyone help on either issue. Thx.

The bars are for your phone signal as opposed to the 4G signal from what I gathered on here. Did you do a reset after the update? You may have to go get a new SIM card for the data issues.

For your picture, go into people (contacts), and fill in the Me profile.
