Hi Guys
had a few issues and found a few resolutions...thought I would share.
My fone is not ROOTED it is a stock item.
Since upgradeing to ICS...(Big mistake) my fone became laggy and some times crashed. Locked, froze, applications went missing....became dodgy..call it whatever you want. Biggest problem, it would not connect to internet when abroad, although this might appear to be a good thing...as its damned expensive!!!!!!! (I bought a data package and couldnt bloody use it) I rang Orange and they said YOU SHOULDNT HAVE UPGRADED TO ICS!!! FFS.
I rang orange again when I got back and they told me it was not possible.....without rooting, to down grade to Gingerbread. I then rang Samsung and they confirmed this. However, they told me to do a Factory reset.....which does not revert to Gingerbread, but basically cleans the current OS to an OEM type install. I did this and after crying and screaming cos all my apps (which I did back up btw) were not as I left them...so I had to spend a day resetting them all............it now appears that it is working a lot better. I have not been abroad yet but will be soon...hope this is useful.
