Help ICS problems.

Hi everyone.

I'm not massively clued up on Android (this is my first phone), so bare with me.

Anyway, I have had a HTC Incredible S for around a year now and took the opportunity to download the Ice-Cream Sandwich update yesterday. After it eventually finished, I noticed that my phone was struggling to load texts and was generally quite laggy/sluggish. Some of the larger conversations (over 2000/3000 texts) just had a white 'Loading...' screen, until I eventually gave up because the phone was getting too hot. I tried to delete each conversation, but again, nothing happened.

After a day of trying (and failing), I backed up contacts and stuff to my memory card and reset the phone to factory conditions. Earlier on, I set the phone back up and tried to restore everything back onto the phone, however I have encountered many problems:

1) After restoring my messages, I still can't access any of them. I can compose texts, but can't look at the entire conversation.

2) I can't appear to save people the usual way. Whenever I do, the SD card logo pops up where the silhouette of the head usually is. And for some reason I cannot find an option to save so the phone (assuming that's the default action?).

3) My mobile internet doesn't seem to be working at all either. Again, no idea why.

Can anyone shed any light on these problems please?

Any help is absolutely fantastic. Thank you.
