Yup just apps for now. More than likely Honeycomb style apps which utilizes more than one part of the screen. Sweet!

What we really are waiting for is when Google open sources ICS. Then we'll hopefully see some ports from the CM team for various devices. (crosses fingers) I don't expect ICS roms to come out for a while though because like John said...it's a major change from the other Android OS variations. It'll probably take a while for the devs to sort things out.

When it hits AOSP - and I'm betting it hits right before the phone hits the market - people are gonna be wowed.

I've spoken with a few devs via email, and the architecture is quite different ... or perhaps, much improved. A lot of cool capabilities, especially with screen utilization. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what's new in the world of Android.

I watched in action during the Sammy Galus (Galaxy nexus) device launch party. I'd guess 70% of the launch presentation was about new features of ICS itself. I'm beyond stoked - I want ICS to drop into AOSP ASAP so I can have a nice much improved ROM interface for my BIONIC....
