Root ICS update? We may be closer than you think!!!

Make absolutely sure you read the entire thread, as a lot of people are getting stuck on "communicating with server"... apparently a lot of traffic on this one.
 
Many of us here have recieved the email about the soak test for this and we should be getting the ICS update soon. It is not recommended that anyone try what they are doing in that link. The update should be out for all this week. Just be patient.
 
Oh, definitely a good idea to wait, but this is for those who just can't find the patience and absolutely must find a way to mess with their devices. Like I posted above, read all the thread from the link and realize there are lots of downloading problems people are experiencing.
 
Downloading now.
Il report back with results, for safety, id say stay back till a few of us give the go.
 
Welp all i gotta say is bout damn time

My signal is weaker so i may have todo the signal flash process. Other than that, pretty rad. If your going todo this, make sure you pay attention to backing up your root privileges. Start up is really time consuming but worth the time.

Signal strength varies
 
no camera? that's odd, didn't see that issue in the threads on droidrazr.com or any others. have you tried a reboot?

+ 1 to having not seen that issue yet. Though to be fair, I haven't had internet access at all the past week :p

Try clearing the cache of the camera app?
 
fixed the camera. guess it freezes up when ics first starts up and it force closes itself when its upgrading. so a force stop and clear data clears the problem. hot spot still needs work but much faster at start and stop response. my signal still is half of what it was but idk what 4g performance is like yet. im hoping its better than what i used to get.
im not really impressed with the launcher nor am i impressed with the moto home ics launcher floating around xda. but i kept the home. launcher that it runs. nothing fancy. all i gotta say is touch up the blur ui for ics cause you cant tell if you have it while on ics.
i wish they stayed with their theme instead of ics blues and blackz. kinda dull...
without the tablet ui touch panel, i like it better than i thought.

all in all, those patiently waiting for ics... your in for a treat. i threw on the black hole live wallpaper pet and the razr is in glory now.
 
Thanks for the update.zip don't suppose this is any easier to install than the cheese cake method is? And if I might add any safer?
