Help ICS update - will it wipe settings, apps etc ?

Hi

I'm new to Android.

If/when I finally get the update for my O2 S2, will I lose settings, downloaded apps etc. or is the upgrade transparent ?

No. These firmware updates are non-wipe. But no guarantee that you wouldn't encounter problems like phone rebooting itself that you need to wipe anyway.
