Just wondering since shipments are being delayed if ice cream may be on maxx since its been announced to be released.
 
The reason that you cant get the phone is because the phone is a really good phone and it have been selling out... when i got since 2 weeks ago the only reason that i got my phone without waiting is because i have a friend at verizon... if you root the you can get ICS by flashing a new rom

I would not like to bring bad news but if you head over to Android Central, there is an article about the schedule for ICS upgrade for Motorola phone. The Razr Maxx (CDMA/USA) was not among the phone listed for the upgrade for Q2 or any time. In fact, it seems they don't have a time for the upgrade for the US razr. I have ordered the phone and am waiting for it. I'll have to see if I like it even without ICS. Otherwise, I will be returning it to get the HTC Rezound.

HtC will definitely have ICS out for the Rezound before the RAZR.
 
Who cares ? Its a great phone w/o ICS.

I dont get people who run for a phone on ICS, then run for battery chargers all day. Doesnt make much sense to me.

Agreed. I love the people who insist they want the latest software, but can't name a single new feature or change from the old software to the new.
 
Do you think ics will retain current battery life and do you think the razr will suffer a performance improvement or loss with the upgrade?
 
i have ran a few ics roms on this maxx and see the battery life has gone down some but this could be because it is a beta rom

I have the XOOM Wi-fi with the official ICS upgrade. The battery life has been amazing since the update, so I would guess the Maxx battery life will be improved once we do get ICS.
 
Im hearing it's up to vzw/moto to give us ics in the usa

Everyone else gets ics for their razr/maxx in q2

Is that about right or am i off base?
 
I'm not all that excited about ICS. My Maxx is fantastic as is. Hard to believe it could be any better, faster or more usable with ICS on it. Might even be less somehow. I'm very pleased with it as it stands.
