Idea for testing S4 batteries

Hi all,

I have about 6 batteries for S4. I want to test which one's are the best.

If I will just test them on drainage then it might not give me the correct results, since it depends a lot on whats going in the background.

So, I was thinking to put on FLIGHT MODE and let each of them work for 1-2 hours and see how many % would go down. This way avoiding most of the factors.

Do you think that's a good idea to check it like that?

That's one way to do it. You could also use an app like Gsam and pay attention to the % per hour being used. I'd try to keep the tests as close to the same as possible. I'd suggest watching the same movie or playing the same game.

My idea is to eliminate as many 3rd factors as possible. What you suggest is the opposite.. :)
Actually watching a video would be a good idea, as opposed to just idling your S4 in Airplane Mode. Trying to gauge your batteries by relying on what's going in the background involves processes in their lower power state, in contrast to viewing a movie -- both the CPU and especially GPU are being worked hard, plus the display is on. Three things that in combination will really tax any battery. If you want to do a real load test on those batteries, that involves doing something that will be using battery resources, not trying to conserve them.

Use your phone like you normally do. I can watch 3 hours of videos and see how far it drains but that doesn't really tell me a whole lot.
Your battery drain depends on so many things. Signal strength, what apps you are using, screen brightness and so on.....
Just my thoughts

Ok, I don't think it's a good idea, since you are adding factors instead of reducing them. But it's no longer relevant.

Thanks everyone.
