IdeaTab A2107A-F FM Radio

I have recently got an IdeaTab A2107A-F.
Details are -Build No. - A2107A-F_S486_130221

Android - 4.0.3

I am getting mixed information about FM radio in this model. Some say it doesn't have, some forums say they enabled it after rooting.

One article says, FM radio is by default in these tablets.

Any one who has enabled FM in this model , pls share.

Mine is 8 GB Wifi Only model. I have checked the back of camers lens. It only has micro SD slot. No SIM slot.

Hi, I too would like to get to the bottom of this.

I'm positive that the FM Radio app is not installed on the -F.
I'm 99% sure the FM Radio hardware is not enabled in the kernel.
I'm guessing that it does not have FM hardware.

I don't believe anyone has gotten FM Radio working on the -F yet.

Why would you listen to FM? In an hour you'll hear 40 minutes of commercials and 20 minutes of music. Go to Pandora or similar

because you have to use air time...and that means paying the mobile phone company more than you want...

I believe the issue is that the radio is part of the 3G chipset which is not fitted afaik to the-F model
Hence, no radio
