Help Ideos goes straight to voicemail - why?

I've recently purchased an Ideos U8150, running 2.2 (I think). It's shiny and I like it!

The problem is that it used to ring just fine when I got it, but lately all calls have been going straight to voicemail (using 2Degrees in New Zealand).

I am getting a notification that I missed the call, however.

Is this more likely to be a problem with my phone, carrier, network, phone settings or location?

Solution was to perform a factory reset.

Lost a lot of settings & some apps, but I don't care. It rings properly now!
