I've been having a fairly annoying problem with my galaxy, barely a month old. The battery life is fairly decent, but sometimes it drains way too quickly while idle. Basically, every night I charge my phone to 100% before I go to bed and recharge it again in the morning before I leave for work from usually about 95ish back to full. But here's my problem: some days I'll wake up and it will be just about dead. For example, Wednesday night I did what I usually do and charged my phone to 100 before bed, and in the morning it was at 97. Great. So that night (Thursday), I do the same thing. I was woken up this morning from my phone beeping because it was at 5%. Attached is a picture showing my battery usage during that time. According to my calculations, which in all likely likelihood are incorrect, that is a 12% drain per hour, while idle. I have no idea why this is happening. It has happened about 3 times over the past month. But get this: the first time it happened my battery was at 66 in the morning, the second time it happened it was at 23, and this time it was at 5 an hour before I even woke up. And here's the weird part: after I woke up today and my phone was dead, I charged it until I left. By that time it was at 85%. I got to work 30 minutes later and for some reason my phone was up to 87 percent by then. Usually when I leave with 100 I'll come back home with 80 to 85 left. Today I returned home with 80 even though I left with 85. I'm going to install some kind of app to monitor my battery usage, but in the mean time, can anyone tell me what the hell is going on?
