Help idle screen clock

Hi,
I have bought a new samsung galaxy s4 . but its screen remains blank when idle. But i want the idle screen to show CLOCK.is it possible to set so?

I believe you can set up daydream mode to get this, but it may have to be in charge/in a dock I'm not to sure as it is a sure fire way to drain the battery so something I avoid!

you should get a better answer in the main forum as this isn't root related so I've alerted the mods
