If I upgrade my phone, do I keep my apps?

My phone is due for upgrade next month. I'm sure apps I've paid for are no problem because they would be in my account, but I have loads that have come from Amazon's Free App of the Day - some of which are really useful, a few of which are indispensable.

Is there a way of keeping these or do I really have to kiss them goodbye and start all over again?

Amazon AppStore apps, whether free or paid, are yours forever in the Amazon Apps Cloud, for at least that version (developers have the option to not update, like some podcast free app of the day once did so that it's now unusable, but that's rare).

What I can't answer is AppGratis FAsOTD. Probably the ones you got where you needed to enter a code that day are not retainable. But I'm not sure, nor for the other AppGratis apps.

Once you install the apps, paid or free should be available to transfer to new phone. Even those you got through AppGratis should be available. I've had some with AG and they transferred to my new phone also.

I'm referring to apps from Google Play Store only.
