Help If i was to install a mod....

...( i believe they be called mods!) for example a battery saving mod or bluray cam or a new lockring, mod how would i go about it? step by step if poss

I found that rooting the phone and installing a new rom was easier to understand than a simple mod

Do i have to do a wipe?
Install a zip?

I have seen something about installing a PG58...or something file

I have read countless threads and im still confuddled

It depends exactly what mod you're looking to install? Most will be .zip files and you flash exactly the same way as you would a ROM:

1. Put file on SD card
2. Boot into recovery
3. Back up (MUST back up in case anything goes wrong)
4. Install from SD card
5. Reboot
