I was out at barnes and noble... picking up a book: HTML, XHTML, CSS for dummies... trying to learn to build wordpress websites.

and I saw this:
Amazon.com: iPhone For Dummies: Includes iPhone 4 (For Dummies (Computer/Tech)) (9780470878705): Edward C. Baig, Bob LeVitus: Books

I have never owned an i-product.
but everyone says the iphone is just easy and so intuitive... even thier 80yr old grandmom can pick it up and run.

so.. who are the people that needs this?

this is just funny.. I know... i will get flamed..

ps... right next to it was a Moto Droid for dummies.. :P

Although many people can figure out how to use the iPhone's basic functions just by playing with it, there are more advanced features that many people cannot figure out on their own. A book like this will provide a good introduction and a good way for people to learn about more advanced features of the iPhone.

of course.. I understand that...

still it was funny to see it. this was more.. poking fun...not serious.

Well, there's a Droid 2 for Dummies, Windows Phone 7 for Dummies as well as a BlackBerry for Dummies.

blackberry for sure!!... last summer I saw that a local community college had a class for using blackberries!

No galaxy s for dummies? lol

I don't recall seeing one, but I didn't look for it. There is a T-Mobile G1 for Dummies.

I didn't see a Symbian for Dummies either. Probably because of poor market share in North America.

This "for Dummies" brand name just really took off. There's even advanced mathematics books with the "for Dummies" brand like "Differential Equations for Dummies."

Yea I was j/k. I know exactly what your taking about with the "for dummies". I've actually been to book store and took who knows how long just looking at all the "for dummies" books they have. It amazed me just how many they had.

It's good that you mentioned it, because my mother cannot use her iPhone and since I am not familiar with it, and my brother is busy with work. I downloaded that iPhone for Dummies yesterday. The comics are great ^^

All they need is "For Dummies book for Dummies"

is that an oxymoron ??

if you can understand and interested in quantum physics... are you a dummy??

If you try to explain quantum mechanics to a layperson, he would probably think you are some crazy idiot. Particles seemingly teleporting around, and multiple realities are concepts that sound like you just made up because you don't know anything.

Did you know... that it is physically impossible to touch things? The sensation of "touch" is actually the really strong force of electromagnetism between you and the object.

I tried explaining this to a friend. Two hours later, and he thought I was a loon.

...some cannot .. wrap their minds around that concept.

Those are probably the ones who've heard, "don't touch me!" often in their lives. "Ok doood.. but I read somewhere that I'm not really touching you doood."
