If you manually flash Android N, you won't receive its OTA updates

Earlier today we were told that Google would be pushing out OTA updates of the Android N developer preview builds.

However, it has been discovered that if you manually flash the factory image then you will not be able to receive these OTA updates. If you want the OTA updates, you'll need to sign up with the new Android Beta Program
