If your 4G (HSPA) has been slow, with terrible ping..

I have an iPhone 4S unlocked to work on T-mobile. Love it. When they pushed the carrier update, it switched from 3G to 4G (cool) but I noticed that my speed WERE ACTUALLY SLOWER than usual.

Heres what you do (works for Android too) The new APN for web is Fast.T-Mobile.com

That APN was the slow one.
The faster one is epc.tmobile.com

I noticed my speeds went back to the standard 7mbps down/1-2 up at 130 ping.

On the new APN it was 3mbps down/0.7 up at over 400 ping.

IF you don't know how to access the APN settings for your device, GIYF

my APN has always been: epc.tmobile.com

And in the few discussions I have had with people here about APN (I had problems at one point) - I think many people have epc.tmobile.com

I honestly, have never seen fast.t-mobile.com

That is mainly for LTE.

My wife and I have definitely been having issues recently. I've thought that might be because OKC is in the process of their upgrade. I've been told late April to May for LTE here. I'll check my APN when I get to my phone. I'm running Jedi 12 on my Note 2. It's based on the most recent Note 2 LTE release, so it probably has the fast.tmobile.com apn set.
