if you're having Charger/Port issues with charging

ok so i got my Nexus here and i was having some serious issues charging it at home.. i actually had to lay it face down so the cord would be pulled down (by gravity) and make a good connection to the phone. and even then it seemed to be charging slowly. So, i called Verizon assuming it was a Charging port issue. They sent me a new phone and it still seemed to have the same issue, not as badly though. so i called again and they overnighted me a Charging cable, it was the usb charging cable that was the issue. The prongs went funny on them i guess. Also i noticed a decent amount of play when plugged into my phone.

So this is the Cable the sent me. its a Different one then the standard. But it fits MUCH better and no problems at all. It fits tigher and seems to charger faster.. i like it a lot better. Just an FYI if people are having goofy charging issues. Just call VZW and it should be covered under the 1 yr manufacturer warranty.

had similar issues, the stock cable was the culprit. it would show up as USB instead of AC. tried another cable and it showed AC but would do like you described where it had to be positioned a certain way. Finally tried a generic cable and it works perfectly now. Was thinking about contacting verizon and getting the charging cable replaced.

Can you tell me were you within your return period or is the cable covered by a year warranty? What should I say when i call to speed up the process of having the cable replaced?

i bought the phone on the day it released.. so... no i dont htink i am in it anymore lol.. but it has a 1 yr warranty on it for manufacturer defects... call them and tell them whats up.. tell them that the cable is loose in the port and seem to have to angle it a certain way.

just say " been having troubles charging my phone, i seem to have to angle the phone a certain way to get it to charge. i thinks its the actual charging cable and not the port since when i use the Charging cable on other devices its giving me the same problem. like i said seems very sloppy whenever plugging it into a device.
