Help ignores swipe to answer ot cancel

Too many times I receive a call and I try to swipe to answer but the phone ignores my swipe. The on screen graphic partially reacts to my swipe but the call cannot be answered, silenced or sent to voice mail, it just continues to ring. I just have to wait for voice mail to kick in. I called my provider and they had me delete some emails (?) and reset the phone by removing the battery, then they said it would work. It still continues to not answer on about a third of my calls. The ineffective swipe only happens when trying to answer the phone.

i could only suggest trying to factory reset the phone (delete all app, etc). I had a problem with my lg connect in which the volume would not go above a certain level on a phone call. a reset fixed my issue...

or if you can still return the phone i would do so.

Thanks for your prompt answer. I did reset the phone, it didn't help. I will return it if I can't resolve the issue

If the phone is unlocked when the call comes in you can just press the red Decline button to cancel the call. If the phone is locked, you have to hold the button while swiping to the outside of the circle. If you just swipe it sideways it may not be enough to complete the action.

there are apps on market which replace swipe with just buttons.
