Ignoring false tapping

Ok, so my tablet has issues with the touch screen. It is impossible to draw long lines as I could verify with the Touch Test app. This makes the device very annoying to use.

I find it hard to explain the issue but apparently it stops sensing my finger and then soon after starts sensing it again. That's enough for the device to guess that I wanted to stop dragging.

I am guessing that it should be possible to ignore these false signals by assuming that a person can't tap in less than X milliseconds.

Is this doable on android ?

That sounds like a hardware or firmware problem with this particular device, touch screen is not working correctly. Could check if there's a firmware update from the manufacturer, maybe they've acknowledged any particular problems with the screen.
