Are IM's and SMS messages technically the same thing? My daughter has her first cell phone and I'm monitoring her usage for protection. I'm looking at apps and software that allow me to monitor her SMS messages but I know she uses some IM programs. Since some IM's like Facebook Messenger comes to MY phone like a text, or SMS, does that mean those can also be monitored as SMS messages? I don't use anything else like Google Chat or Yahoo Messenger so I have no idea. Will I be able to see her activity on those too? Too many creeps out there!
