I'm excited for the iphone!

I'm also excited about the iphone coming to verizon but I heard by the summer they'll be coming out with the iphone 5. Anyone know if this is true or just rumor?

It's just rumor, but it's probably true. The iPhone 4 on Verizon has a chipset that can handle both Verizon's CDMA, and AT&T GSM network.

The iPhone 5 will likely be 1 iPhone for both networks that can handle either. So, the iPhone 5 for Verizon will likely be released at the same time as it is for AT&T.

Just my thoughts, but right now... it is just a rumor.

I agree 100% with everything else, but this.

It is easier to make phone calls with Android...

It is easier to search the web...

Android is AS easy as the iPhone, if not even easier, TBH.

I agree with the making phone calls part! That was why we left AT&T, we got tired of dropped calls and poor call quality! I wouldn't say Android is any easier to surf the web with, unless you are talking about the bigger screen. That definitely makes it easier. But I used Google on my 3Gs, and it doesn't work any differently on iOS than it does on Android. Of course, we can view Flash stuff if we want to, and that is nice. I guess I can say that Android is easy to use, and maybe it's not really that Android is more difficult to use than iOS, it's just different. I know when I made the switch from my 3Gs to my Droid X, I had a learning curve there, it took me a little while to learn how to use it like I wanted to use it. Maybe it wasn't that iOS was easier to use, I just had to unlearn and relearn a different way of doing stuff. One thing I can say for sure is that a stock Droid X > jailbroken iPhone 3Gs any day! Eventually I'll root, and then that gap will be even wider.

I'll agree with that. People learn something one way, and that's the easy way to them.

LOL, I saw that! They even did a redesign of the antenna bands due to the differences between GSM and CDMA! Guess the guys they hired to replace the guys they sacked due to the original antenna problem weren't any better at antenna design!
The fault lies with whoever mandated that the antenna wrap around the outside of the phone... probably Jobs himself since this design was reportedly objected to strenuously by the RF engineers.

That's what happens when you buy/steal technology that you don't fully understand. (Apple didn't develop the iPhone all by their lonesome. Most of these companies don't really developing anything 100% on their own. Why do you think electronics companies get the crap sued out of them every time one of their devices hit it big?)

Sometimes it takes more than just luring the developers over to your team. (I'm pretty sure that whoever stole that guy who helped design the Kinect for Microsoft will find out.)

I can't wait to see what comes out of the crack team that Toyota puts together to solve the brake pedal/floormat problems with the Prius/Camry/Lexus/Forerunner.

I just came across a iPhone 4, if I don't like it I can make money on it since I got it cheap. I have been playing with it all day long and it is a nice phone. I bought it for the wife to see if she likes it.This is my opinion and I am comparing it to my current phone, a fascinate. The i4 has vertually no lag, you touch it opens. I have not been able to make calls other than one to Verizon to see when the porting of the i4 number would be complete so I can connect my line. Call was crystal clear. I now have to try out the internet. Now this is just my first thoughts on it from what I have done with it today. Now my fascinate, from day one calls have never been crystal clear even exchanging and messing with the evo options hasn't helped. I have had it since almost release date, so I had the old software version and now am running the latest upgrade. I have also rooted, which gave me crystal clear calls but lags like a mof. I put it back to stock and the lagging got way better but at the cost of poor sound quality. Battery life isn't the best either. As I am typing this the words don't come out as fast as I type, it lags behind most of the time. This is my 4 android phone and it has been the least liked out of the 4 in terms of software. I have liked the other 3 android phone software better. I will be fringe out the i4 before I give to the wife to see how it performs. My aftermarket car radio is iPod ready so that is a plus. The fascinate will only Bluetooth calls, it wont Bluetooth songs and it wont play through USB either. My last android(motor x) did both so I dont know why this one wont. Anyways I have been through 4 phones in 2 years so I personally think that you cannot keep up with technology, unless you have money to spend. So I personally don't criticize what other people want to use, even on here people are always saying my Droid is better than yours. I for one think its good that vzw has another choice in their line up besides android and BB.

LOL!
I wish I had an iPhone that worked like a Droid, had an SD slot, USB slot and a keyboard.

Hey! Stop throwing things at me!
