I'm getting a 305mb update to my Note 3

It's the Explosion patch.

This is a Note3, so it's not the restrict charging, anti-explosion update, that's for the Note7

There should be some information accompanying the update, telling you what it is. It's probably a security and bug-fix update.

Yeah, I think Samsung's doing that update in-house come to think of it.

I just applied Update. Its still upgrading. I was hoping for Marshmallow but I can't find anything online.
Probably just a security update.
Will update this if its more than just a security patch.

I'm just now getting the update on 16 Jan 2017. Can't seem to find what it is.

During the update, it said that it was "UPDATING ANDROID". I did notice that my note 3 is a little faster. Something later popped up asking me to agree to Samsung's privacy policy.
