Please help. I have 2 Samsung S4 i9505 phones. I bought both second hand.
Phone one was locked to the Three network, I had it unlocked by the network, and it now works perfectly with my EE 4G sim. This phone froze while I was upgrading to Lollipop and could not be rebooted, luckily it was still under warranty, was repaired and boards replaced. It now works well on lollipop.
Phone two was used by the previous owner on O2 network without problems and already had lollipop when I bought it. This phone has never been locked to any network and works without fault on both of the O2 and Three networks these are both 3G, these are the only other sims I have. When I put my original EE 4G sim in to this phone I got the message 'No sim insert sim''. I'm baffled. I got a replacement 4G sim from EE on the outside chance that was where the problem was. It worked. I needed to put the sim back into phone one in order to transfer some data accross. When I put the sim back into phone two the message 'invalid sim' came up, where it has appeared every other time I've tried it.
As I have one which works and ond which doesn't hopefully someone can tell me which settings to look at so as to identify the difference, then what I need to do to correct it.
This is an unusual problem but not unique. I've seen posts on XDA Developers forum, although none that seem to work, anyway I haven't worked how to post my question on there and on top of that I find the solutions are a bit above my head.
Any suggestions please.
