I'm gonna steal one of these!

I see that Target will have the VirginMobile version of this phone for $19.99 on Black Friday. That's a steal on a phone with the Awe's specs! I'll be there to get AT LEAST one of them.:vroam:

I wish I would've been able to buy one of these for $19.99 on BF. However, I was at least still able to buy one for $48.

Where did you get it for $48?

I think VM had them 50% off on cyber monday.

I grabbed a 2nd one from Target on Saturday for $20. Figure once these get more popular when people find out they are dual core and can stay on the $25 plan it should make for a nice flip. or just to keep as a backup if my first one craps out.

Wish I knew about this offer on black fri. Would have picked up an extra one. lol

Amazon Marketplace does have some good prices as well though. Just saw one for $39. Too bad Im broke right now.

So far this has been a pretty good phone.

We bought two on Black Thursday (yes we went on Thanksgiving). One for my husband and one for my daughter. Now I am suffering from phone envy and feel like I should have grabbed one for me too.

Ha! No judgement here, my wife & I went out on Thanksgiv-ikkah for a few of these ourselves. :ridinghorse:

I went on Friday and there were plenty left at my local Target. The one I bought goes to my daughter as well, solely to replace an aging Elite with a decent phone that will be able to keep the $25 rate. Not sure how much longer that loophole will last, since someone brought it to the attention of the Facebook Virgin Angels earlier this week - but as of last night, it still didn't trigger a plan change.

Yikes, why would someone do something stupid like that. LOL

So far my daughter is still on the $25 rate plan.

You're a good mom! Hope your daughter appreciates it... if it was my kid, gets the hand me down... ;);)

Under normal circumstances yes, she would get the hand me down, but my phone is less than a year old and hers was two years old (Optimus V). And hers had actually died and I had an old Optimus V which was close to 3 years old that she was using. So she gets the new phone.

I'm kind of regretting not grabbing a second one for myself. It's scary trying to work on the custom recovery/os without a backup :O Maybe when I get paid I'll hunt down a cheap one!

If you keep up with the Virgin Mobile Facebook page, you'll notice that many of the posts are... shall we say... less than well-thought out?

Of course the rep gave a warning that their $25 plan may disappear at any time and not all features may work, but so far I've never heard of a person losing the $25 plan after getting a phone onto it somehow. Here's hoping that continues!

yea I was thinking of buying another second as well, just in case. you never know.. I may brick the one I have somehow and then be out of luck. lol ;)

kind of OT but I noticed not a lot of cases are available for the ZTE N800 Awe.
I also noticed this phone is so close in size, a case made for this may just fit ours as well.
Just FYI...

N800 Specs:
Virgin Mobile Awe

Savvy Specs:
ZTE Savvy - ZTE USA

but I noticed not a lot of cases are available for the ZTE N800 Awe.

I found that there is not a lot of cases for the Awe either, but did notice that some look very similar to the N810 which is the Reef. I'm thinking maybe they'll fit the Awe.

I noticed that too. The reef is pretty close in height: 4.96"(Awe) vs 5"(Reef), in width: 2.56"(Awe) vs 2.55"(Reef), and in depth: 0.41"(Awe) vs 0.44"(Reef). The Savvy is the same size as the Awe, save for the depth is .01" thicker on the Savvy.

I was originally thinking the Reef and the Awe would be sister phones (like the Kyocera Rise/Hydro/Event), but they really aren't. The Reef in comparison is a pretty crappy phone, but waterproof.
Height 4.96" Width 2.56" Depth 0.41"

yep those are the ones I have. really nice! cheap too!
regarding those cases, yea they look kind cheesy and not of the greatest quality. but until something nicer comes out, I may use one because they're so cheap and they come with stylus pen, and some other small stuff. lol

I bought that case and have those protectors on order.

The case adds quite a bit of bulk IMHO. It might be good if if i drop it, but as for having it in my pocket or holding it just seems a bit big. Also for some reason it picks up pocket lint like whoa.

I'll keep it until a better case comes around.

I've dropped mine a couple of times, seems like the thing can take a small fall with no problems. Not sure about concrete :O
