I have the original Bose SoundLink BT speaker. It might be just a bit on the heavy side for bass but does a fine job reproducing hi fidelity. I did a quick search for a link for my reply but sadly I see that it's fallen out of production, or at least that's my guess. All I find is refurbs for sale. You might look at it's successors. They may be quality though I can't say. I've always been quite pleased with the original. Not only it's sound quality but it is really well built and has lasted me many years now. Though it did not fall in your price range when purchased, I see the newer units are. Good luck in your quest.
