Im new and need help

I have a samsung galaxy s3 and recently I have come into a bit of trouble. I downloaded picsart so I could edit a picture. after the picture looked how I wanted it to look i attempted to set it as my wallpaper. I opened the picture in gallery, hit set as, then hit home screen wallpaper. after a notification box popped up and asked me if I wanted to carry out this process using one of four apps: default, picsart, and two others. I was stupid and selected picsart and it set it as the default. so now when I go to set a picture as a wallpaper it won't work. I open the picture again in gallery, hit set as, then hit home screen wallpaper. it then opens up the picture (like it's going to let you crop it) but it won't let me crop it or set it as a wallpaper. I am trying to avoid resetting my phone to its default settings. I have uninstalled the picsart app and nothing has changed. is there a way around this? HELP!!!!!

From your home screen, press the menu button and then go into settings. Then go to Applications Manager. Look for Picsart and tap on it. Then tap on Clear defaults.
